We had a
full house for the inaugural Munda Biddi Cooking with
Gas Night on Tuesday 3rd of July. Although
Each
group cooked 2 main meals and 1 dessert meal and
everyone was able to taste each others Thanks to our Head Chef Steve from Bibbulmun Track and also to Murray Wynne for helping out on the night.
The very first Munda Biddi Mechanics Clinic was held on Sunday the 10th of June at Dwellingup Adventures. We were very lucky that the usual Dwellingup weather held off for us this time and it was a lovely sunny day (although it was still chilly). The 19 keen participants learnt many new mechanical skills on how to service and fix their Mountain Bike, with the majority ending up with rather greasy hands by the end. Now they will all be able to fix their own bikes in case of a broken spoke or chain whilst on the Munda Biddi Trail. Thanks to Josh for instructing this clinic and for once again helping make this event such a success. The Department of Sport and Recreation has provided funding to the Munda Biddi Trail Foundation to bring the Mechanics Clinic to Dwellingup to bring the best of Sport to regional WA.
A fantastic 56 riders came on Sunday the 20th of May for the Waterous Trail the Trail Ride in Waroona to experience this new scenic area of trail first hand. The advanced group set off at 9am and the other 5 groups of intermediate, and beginners followed an hour later. Many thanks to Jenny and all the Ride Leaders, Ron, Murray, Roy, Mark, Luke, Leanne, Robbie, Drew, Stuart, Paul for their fantastic help. Theresa for her help with the registrations and Debbie for help with the sausage sizzle. Also thanks to Brad and Rena at Lake Navarino forest resort for hosting the event and also the Bush Brigade for their musical talents. The Department of Sport and Recreation has provided funding to the Munda Biddi Trail Foundation to bring the Waterous Trail Ride to Waroona to bring the best of Sport to regional WA.
The Munda Biddi Ride Leaders Course was held at Grass Roots Holiday Haven in Jarrahdale on Sunday the 6th of May. There were 12 participants who are now all Munda Biddi Ride Leaders, equipped and ready to lead groups on our fabulous Munda Biddi Trail. They all enjoyed a morning of theory and a light lunch before heading out on the Munda Biddi Trail for the practical session. It was a fantastic day and from the feedback we received everyone had a great time and really learnt a lot for the course. Many thanks to Josh from Dwellingup Adventures for instructing the course and also to Murray and Jenny for all their help. The Department of Sport and Recreation has provided funding to the Munda Biddi Trail Foundation to bring the Ride Leaders Course to Jarrahdale to bring the best of Sport to regional WA.
22 Riders braved the wet and wild Dwellingup weather to attend the Munda Biddi Beginners Clinic on Sunday the 29th of April. It poured down with rain the whole morning (luckily whilst we were under the cover for the theory session) but amazingly cleared up for us when we went outside to ride. Everyone was also lucky enough to have the biggest gourmet sandwiches any of us had every seen for our ‘light’ lunch (thanks to the Mill House Café) before we headed off for our ride. The clinic was a lot of fun and everyone learnt a lot of new off-road riding skills which we were able to show off when we went out for our ride on the Munda Biddi Trail. One of the groups even came across a horse and carriage on the trail which was something very different and defiantly not expected. Thanks to Josh from Dwellingup Adventures for instructing the clinic and teaching us some of his expertise. Also thanks to Mark, Luke and Robbie for helping Josh out with the skills circuit and also being the ride leaders and sweeps. The Department of Sport and Recreation has provided funding to the Munda Biddi Trail Foundation to bring the Beginners Clinic to Dwellingup to bring the best of Sport to regional WA’
