Membership
Want to show your support for this exciting project? The easiest way to
help is to join the Foundation. Over 500 individuals and organisations
have become friends of the trail. Your support through membership fees
and/or volunteer time will ensure that the Foundation remains a
sustainable operation. Members get quarterly newsletters delivered to
their letterbox to keep up to date with the trail construction, events
and special offers. Members receive discounts on trail-related
merchandise, and more benefits will come to members as the organisation
grows. Cycle Friendly Organisations and Business members receive
recognition in newsletters, here on the website and in other Foundation
promotional material. All members are invited to the Annual General
Meeting which is scheduled for Tuesday 16th October, 2007.
There are
six categories of membership:
Single - $35/year or $95 for 3 years
Concession - $25/year or $70 for 3 years
Family - $60/year or $160 for 3 years
Cycle Friendly Organisation - $195/year or $525 for 3 years
Cycle Friendly Business - $295/year or $795 for 3 years
Life member - $600

Volunteering
Opportunities exist for volunteers to help with trail construction and
maintenance including campsites, administrative and marketing work, and
helping out at trail events by helping to guide rides or staffing display
booths. Volunteers are also welcome to join the board when positions are
open. Print the Membership Application form and send it in to register
your interest.
Sponsorship
Businesses, cycling groups and government organisations have all shown
their support for the Munda Biddi Trail by contributing either to trail
construction or projects undertaken by the Foundation.
Major trail partners
who have helped fund the construction so far are DEC,
Alcoa Australia, and the Department of Justice, with
additional support from Lotterywest, the Waters and Rivers Commission and Water
Corporation.
Recent funding for
the Foundation has been received from the Department of Local Government
and Regional Development which will assist with building the Events
Calendar program, Volunteer Management Program, Partnerships and to
redevelop the website.
Regional
and local governments along the trail alignment have also contributed
to the trail and the Foundation including the South West Development Commission,
Peel Development Region, and the Great Southern Development Commission
as well as Shires along the trail route:
