The dream of creating Western Australia’s first long-distance off-road cycling trail took shape through the efforts of dedicated volunteers and visionary government and community representatives. The Munda Biddi Trail Foundation is a non-for-profit organisation that was originally formed to assist the Department of Conservation and Land Management (now Parks and Wildlife) and other land managers to get the trail project off the ground.
Today the Foundation represents the community that uses the Trail. Its three main areas of involvement include:
Encourage community engagement, ownership and education
Develop opportunities for tourism, employment and training
Attracting partnerships, funding and other resources for the development and sustainability of the Trail
The Munda Biddi Trail Foundation is a prosperous, vibrant, innovative and dynamic organisation that delivers a sustainable world-class nature-based off-road cycling experience.
The Foundation is an incorporated not-for-profit community based organisation established to support the Department of Parks and Wildlife in the management, maintenance and marketing of the Munda Biddi Trail and to ensure the trail remains a long distance bush cycle trail of international significance.
